Well, when we woke up this morning, our plan was to go to the beach again. But it was overcast and a bit cooler. So we decided to ride up the Interstate to Irvine, CA. This is where Blizzard Entertainment is located. They make many computer games including World of Warcraft, the game Daniel plays. Andrew plays it sometimes too. Unfortunately, they keep things pretty secure around there, so we couldn't get any closer than this. Really funny story. As Daniel got out and I was walking up with my camera, he asked me to quickly give him the camera. But as I handed it to him, he said nevermind and handed it back to me. Just then, a man walked out the gated door and got into a car that was pulled up to the sidewalk in front of us. I didn't think anything of it, other than how silly we probably looked standing out there taking this picture.
When we got back into the SUV, he said that man was the lead developer of the game. He recognized his photo from the website. When he was asking for the camera, he had seen him walking across the parking lot and was going to take his photo. Until he realized that he was walking straight to where we were. Daniel said he was too embarrassed to take a photo or to even say hello to him.
This is the picture of Amelia as she was crying for me to take a photo of her too. Silly girl.
After we left Irvine, we came back to the hotel to eat lunch and let the kids swim some more in the pool. And then the rest of the day, we spent getting laundry washed and packed up to leave tomorrow. We decided to go ahead and leave out a day early from here. Tomorrow we will be heading to Las Vegas!
We went to get supper from the In-N-Out Burger place that I have been told was a must while on the West Coast. When I went in to get our burgers, they must have been able to tell that I was a newbie. He gave us some paper hats and stickers. Great to go in our scrapbooks! And the burgers were really good too! And cheap!
Here are a few other various photos from the last few days.
