We decided to check out a day early and head back toward inland California to visit Daniel's
Great Uncle Gene. He lives in Redlands and since we were so close, we felt we would be better off leaving a day earlier than we had planned. Heading out, I had to take these photos of the very rocky mountains. It seemed like the mountains were made up of piles of boulders.

It wasn't long before we found our way to Uncle Gene's house. He will be 90 years old in August and lives here alone, since his wife, Aunt Frances, passed away back in January. It has been a while since we saw him last. They visited Alabama a few years ago. I think we only had Annessa and maybe Andrew then.
He invited us to go eat Brunch at one of his favorite places to eat. Here, we are following him through the streets of Redlands. Beautiful city.
This is where he brought us. Coco's Bakery and Restaurant. Very yummy food!
After we ate, we went back to his house for a little while longer. We enjoyed seeing all the beautiful flowers and plants that his wife planted in their backyard. I have never seen so many beautiful and unique plants in all my life. I wished I had taken my camera back in with me. We really enjoyed our visit with him!
We left Redlands around 1PM and headed north toward Las Vegas and Hoover Dam.
