Day Three: Leaving Minnesota, Entering North Dakota

We woke up on Sunday morning to a beautiful, sunny day but not too hot!  We enjoyed spending time in worship with a nice group of people at the Richfield church of Christ.  After a quick bite for lunch, we headed out for North Dakota.  Wow….lots of driving on a straight stretch of interstate. There were lots more corn fields and scattered farming homesteads on both sides of us.

We stopped at North Dakota State University in Fargo to get out and stretch our legs. Just a little down the road from there was their downtown area.  The kids enjoyed the Mario wall. We had planned to eat dinner here but we weren’t really hungry and wanted to get on to our next stop where we’d stay the night: Bismarck.

Did you know the speed limit between Fargo and Bismarck is 75mph?  That was fun.  I got to drive that! We made another quick stop in Jamestown to see the World’s Largest Buffalo and a couple of real Buffalo too!  We arrived in Bismarck around 8:30pm.  When we went to bed, shortly after 10pm, there was still some daylight outside.  So crazy!!

  1. Did you stop at the visitor center in Fargo? The wood chipper from the movie is there.

    1. No we sure didn’t! We didn’t spend much time there…less than an hour.
