Part of us wanted to visit New York but one of us didn’t. So we settled for a stay in York, Pennsylvania. Our hotel was perfectly situated near Dunkin Donuts and a pizza place , new to us, calls MOD Pizza. We enjoyed our pizza we each created ourselves, sitting outside. A while later, we got our fill of donuts and coffee. That made us happy campers.
One of the things I look most forward to on trips like these, is finding a place to worship on Sunday mornings. I had searched prior to our trip and actually picked York as our place to stay on Saturday night so we could awake to worship with the York church of Christ. It’s always a joy to find brethren in other areas of the states who worship according to the New Testament pattern of worship. Today was no different. We studied from the book of Revelation during bible class with about 20 of their members. More arrived for worship and we heard a very energetic sermon on having belief and unbelief at the same time. This wasn’t their full time preacher but he did a great job speaking about Elijah and the father of the boy needing healing from Mark 9. The people were all very friendly and we felt welcomed by them all. They just sounded a bit different, as I know we did to them as well. We even had one tell us he was an Alabama fan and another tell us that he didn’t care for Nick Saban at all! 😂
Now we are heading to Valley Forge and then on onto Philadelphia. Happy Sunday!
